Martha's Vineyard is located within 85 miles of two major airports: Boston Logan and Providence T.F. Green.  Visitors arriving at either of these two cities can arrange transportation to Martha's Vineyard via connecting air service, limousine or taxi, bus or by renting a car. Many regional visitors to Martha's Vineyard choose to drive to the ferry and either walk across or bring their car.

ARRIVING BY FERRY

There is year-round car ferry service from Woods Hole (on Cape Cod).  Advance car ferry reservations are required when visiting Martha’s Vineyard.  Check the Steamship Authority website (below) for complete details.

There is year-round passenger ferry service from Woods Hole and New Bedford, MA; seasonal passenger ferry service is available from Falmouth, Hyannis and Quonset, Rhode Island.

ARRIVING BY PLANE

There is regional and charter air service to Martha's Vineyard year round. During the peak season, there are additional commercial airlines that service the island from major East Coast hubs.
