The dining room at Little House is so cozy and warm on these chilly Winter Island nights. Packed with friends and neighbors, it was clear that this was the place to be on a Wednesday night. Everywhere I looked, there were delicious plates of food. We were excited for dinner!
Since I was with Allison, I was sure to be on good behavior with ordering food which is not hard when you’re at Little House. Almost everything on the menu is loaded with awesome, healthy ingredients!

There are so many delicious sounding items on the Little House menu. I often go for

Fortunately for me, she is a good sharer, and let me have a bite of that burger. Now, I don’t usually eat lamb, but this burger is ridiculous. There is something magical happening with this dish. Next time, it will be mine. A definite Martha’s Vineyard Frugal Foodie Dining Out Deal!
I opted for the Red Thai Curry Chicken Kebobs with vegetables in mild coconut curry lime sauce on jasmine rice pilaf. I am always a sucker for curry and anything coconut.
Curry is one of those flavors I just love but is a big no-no at home because my kids are yet to appreciate its awesomeness! Such a delicious well rounded dish. I enjoyed it thoroughly and was a proud member of the clean plate club.
We practically closed the place. We had a little wine and just caught up with each other and where we were in our lives. It was really nice. There is something about that space that makes you want to sit and chat.
Sadly, no desert for us as we were both really satisfied at the end of our meals, but I could definitely be tempted next time especially for by the Strawberry Shortcake!

More good things and tidbits about Little House. Yes, it is for sale, but right now, things are as awesome as ever. There are other specials happening in addition to 2 for 1 Wednesdays like Take out Tuesday. On this night, customers get a 20% discount on dinner items to go – which is perfect for these long Winter nights.
Martha’s Vineyard Frugal Foodie Dining Out Deal – Taco Thursday
Let’s not forget about Taco Thursday! On Thursday the menu is chock full of delicious sounding tacos. I am hungry just writing about this. Ummmm hello, how about the HONEY-LIME GLAZED CHICKEN which has spicy roasted corn salsa, avocado cream, and queso blanco on soft corn tortillas or the GRILLED WILD GULF SHRIMP with mango salsa, beer battered avocado, and creamy cilantro lime sauce in corn tortillas. Not to mention that you can order fresh guac and house chips too!
Little House is such a special place. Each menu item has been carefully crafted to be so flavorful and delicious. The staff is so friendly and it’s always a lovely experience.
Note that Little House will begin its Winter break, starting February 24th. Once it opens back up, you can take full advantage of their special nights which will most likely run through April.
