The holiday magic of the Teddy Bear Suite has returned to Martha’s Vineyard. Doors to the ninth annual fundraiser opened over the weekend, and it was a delight welcoming so many visitors, old friends and new. This year, we’re giving the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser kick-off a Giving Tuesday donation match from Point B Realty.

Point B will match 50-cents on the dollar today for all online donations to the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser. After our opening weekend, we’ve raised $3,200. We’d love to pass $10,000 today. Our fundraising goal this year is $45,000. Donate Now
All the money raised goes directly to support the vital Healthy Happy Kids after school food program at Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. It’s an important program that’s working. With funding support from the Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser, we’ve watched H2K make a real difference in food insecurity and scarcity issues faced by hundreds of island children and their families. The MV Boys & Girls Club program now serves almost 40% of all elementary school-age children on Martha’s Vineyard.

Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser Kick-Off Our Goal Is To Cover The Cost Of H2K
Our Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraising goal is $45,000 because that’s what it costs to fund H2K. Last year’s fundraising drive raised enough to cover the entire year and that is our goal again this year.
Each week, hundreds of Island kids spend their afternoons at the Club. Here, they can play with their friends, play in the gym, participate in homework club, get creative in the art room, and much more.
Not too long ago, children had to pay for snacks offered at the Club. However, then new executive director Jessie Damroth saw that wasn’t working. Kids were coming to the club hungry. With that hunger came a whole host of problems — inability to focus, frustration, and more.
We are now in our fourth year fundraising for this program, and it has continued to grow with the success. The money we raise, with your help, allows the Club to not have to worry about funding this vital portion of their work. It allows them to grow other programing, add computers, activities, and more to the overall after school program.
Since the first Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite, we have helped raise $171,000 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. This is a substantial amount of money, money that has had a major impact on the lives of children for eight years.

Our new home this year can be found at Point B Realty, 29 Winter Street, Nevin Square, right in downtown Edgartown (our new rental office).
