Quintessential beach cottage living at its finest on Chappaquiddick -- The Rudder Cottage enjoys sweeping water views of the Edgartown Lighthouse, outer harbor, Cape Poge, and on out to Nantucket Sound. You are within walking distance to a private sandy ocean beach. A separate artist studio rounds out this unique Chappy getaway.
The white-washed cottage enjoys water views throughout the house. There are vaulted ceilings with wainscoting and beams, an open Living Area, covered porch with Dining Bar, Kitchen, and two Bedrooms. The separate Studio is a delightful artist or author's retreat with table and chairs, daybed, outdoor shower, and those same stunning water views.
The private sandy beach is just a short stroll across Chappaquiddick Road and down a beach path. The Chappy ferry is nearby as well, so trips into Edgartown Village are only a few minutes away. The Rudder Cottage is one of three dwellings on a larger water view compound, but each home has its own privacy.
PETS: One small dog may be considered, subject to owner approval. There is an additional pet fee. Please inquire.
