The first beach Evan Joy ever touched was on Martha’s Vineyard. Her family began vacationing on the island in 1955 and she has spent her entire life making memories across the island.
After attending the Winsor School in Boston and graduating from Spelman College in Atlanta, Evan went on to get her MBA and Master of Public Policy. She worked as the manager of business development for a national non-profit organization, then returned to Winsor to enhance the school’s wellness curriculum, and is now in the talent management field, while continuing to summer on the Island.
Over the years, Evan and her family have rented nearly two dozen different properties on the Vineyard. Thinking she could leverage that knowledge and experience, Evan got her real estate license and began working for Point B as our Vacation Rentals Guest Services Coordinator, and has now become one of our agents on the Rental Team, where she loves finding the right rental to fit her customer’s needs.
She remains heavily involved with Vineyard life, regularly contributing to island fundraisers dedicated to preserving the history of the island, such as The Vineyard Legacy, and she continues her philanthropic work as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. For fun, Evan enjoys reading thriller novels, swimming, biking, and playing tennis.
