August is without a doubt the most popular time to visit Martha's Vineyard in the summer. From the beaches to restaurants, to events and festivals, the Island is brimming with people and summer fun. The first week of August hosts one of the most popular events of the season, the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival (August 2 - 10, 2024).
