Best Of The Vineyard - Point B Realty Top Picks On Martha’s Vineyard 2026 - Best New Restaurant

This was a tough category for the team with so many great new restaurants joining the Island’s dining scene this year. Staff favorites include The Ocean Club and Indigo.

The Ocean Club Restaurant & Bar, located in the Old Stone Bank in Vineyard Haven, offers diners a truly memorable experience, set against a stunning backdrop and featuring creative Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. With a menu that changes often, each visit feels fresh and exciting. It’s perfect for special occasions—or for turning an ordinary day into something special. The Ocean Club should definitely be on your list of restaurants to visit this year. To learn more about The Ocean Club, click here.

Indigo Martha’s Vineyard, located in the former Sharky’s Edgartown space, is the Island’s new go-to Indian restaurant—and it has quickly become a local favorite. Open year-round, Indigo serves classic Indian dishes like Butter Chicken and Naan, along with an extensive menu that also includes beloved New England fare. With something for everyone, it’s an easy choice for families, groups, and adventurous eaters alike. Not only does Indigo deliver on delicious Indian food,  the restaurant offers ample parking and is especially well-suited for large parties, making it a convenient and crowd-pleasing dining destination. To learn more about Indigo, click here.

In addition to Indigo and The Ocean Club, The Maker and Black Joy Kitchen were added to the Island's restaurant scene. All four of these new restaurants offer a completely different dining experience and are worth visiting.

Best Of The Vineyard - Point B Realty Top Picks On Martha’s Vineyard 2026 - Best Beaches

For Best Beaches, the Point B team had two favorites: South Beach/Norton Point and Moshup Beach. And who could disagree? These are not only two of the best beaches on Martha’s Vineyard, but arguably among the best in all of New England.

South Beach and Norton Point offer sweeping, expansive ocean views and waves that are often perfect for boogie boarding. South Beach is synonymous with summer, while Norton Point offers a unique experience—especially when you can drive your vehicle right onto the beach for a different perspective of the shoreline. Both promise endless beach fun and are conveniently located near downtown Edgartown. Don’t forget to stop by Katama General Store for snacks, provisions, or a post-beach ice cream or coffee.

Moshup Beach is a bit more of a commitment, located in Aquinnah, and requiring paid parking (last year, it was $30 for the day). That said, it’s absolutely worth it. The dramatic clay cliffs create a breathtaking backdrop and a beach experience unlike anywhere else on the Island.

What beach on Martha's Vineyard gets your vote? One of these featured or Lambert's Cove, Jetty Beach, North Bluff Beach, State Beach, Eastville, Lucy Vincent? There are so many great ones to choose from.

Best Of The Vineyard - Point B Realty Top Picks On Martha’s Vineyard 2026 - Best Nature Walk

The Point B team loves two standout trails at Cedar Tree Neck and Menemsha Hills—both located in Menemsha and both offering incredible hiking experiences on the Island’s north shore. These trails feature dramatic, sweeping water views, and Menemsha Hills also provides access to the historic Brickyard, a meaningful piece of living Island history.

Our team also likes a newer contender for Best Nature Walk -- Squibnocket Pond Reservation South in Aquinnah. Opened last year through a partnership between the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank and the Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, the property was purchased from Caroline Kennedy in 2021. During late spring, summer, and early fall, access is by reservation only. The trail winds through peaceful woods, crosses scenic wooden boardwalks, and ultimately leads to Squibnocket Beach—a spectacular and unique way to experience this private Up-Island shoreline, and its stunning sand dunes.

There is also Squibnocket Pond Reservation North, another stunning trail option, though it does not provide beach access. To learn more about both trails, click here

Best Of The Vineyard - Point B Realty Top Picks On Martha’s Vineyard 2026 - Best Seafood Restaurant

This is a fun category to debate. The top two for our team could not be more different -- The Lookout Tavern and the Homeport Restaurant & Oyster Bar.

The Lookout Tavern is located in downtown Oak Bluffs, and has a fantastic view of the water, with the Steamship ferries coming and going throughout the summer. Open from April through the end of December, the Lookout is well known for it's lobster menu - there are lobster rolls, a lobster BLT, lobster tacos, lobster mac & cheese, and even a lobster dinner. Don't forget about their amazing sushi too! The restaurant is always busy during the summer months, but worth the wait. It is a casual crowd and a frequent gathering spot for Islanders and visitors alike. PC: Lookout Tavern

The Homeport is known for its lobster dinners, clam chowder, fresh and fried oysters, and plus other choice  Menemsha seafood. With its water view location in Menemsha, there is an Up-Island, relaxed vibe, plus stunning views. The patio offers views of Menemsha Creek and the glow of sunsets from the horizon. Don't forget that Chilmark is BYOB so bring your favorite wine or spirits, mixers, are provided. Reservations are encouraged. PC: Homeport Restaurant & Oyster Bar
