Bite Into Savings: ON-N-OFF Island Burger Pop-Up At Sharky’s On Martha’s Vineyard

You’re most likely familiar with Sharky's Cantina on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs. A go-to spot for Mexican-inspired dishes and festive cocktails since 2005, it’s long been a staple of the Island dining scene.

But this winter, owner JB Blau has introduced something new: a pop-up restaurant called ON-AND-OFF Island Burger. The concept is simple — and seriously satisfying. Affordable burgers and crave-worthy comfort food designed to keep people coming back again and again. It’s casual, approachable, and perfect for locals looking for a quick, delicious bite during the off-season. We hope you enjoy Bite Into Savings: ON-N-OFF Island Burger Pop-Up At Sharky's On Martha's Vineyard

Bite Into Savings: ON-N-OFF Island Burger Pop-Up At Sharky’s On Martha’s Vineyard - Burgers, Onion Rings, & More

On a chilly February weeknight, we ventured over to Sharky's Cantina to try ON-AND-OFF — and it did not disappoint.

The menu offers plenty of burger options: single, double, or triple patties, plus your choice of cheese and tons of toppings. Pickles, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes — you build it exactly how you like it. Each burger is fully customized, so no two orders have to be the same.

Not in a burger mood? They also serve a Fish Filet and a McChicken sandwich. Add fries, fried pickles, or onion rings on the side to complete the experience.

I went with the McChicken ($5.49) and a side of onion rings ($3.99), and it was a pretty solid meal. It’s kind of like the Island’s fast-food option — but better. My son ordered a single burger ($5.99) with cheese and fries ($2.99) and absolutely loved it.

The Idea Behind ON-N-OFF Island Burger

JB grew up in Boston and when he was a kid, he would head to fast food restaurants to hang with friends. There they would socialize, joke around, and be kids out and about, off the couch, out of the house. They had fun and didn't break the bank. With ON-AND-OFF, families and friends can dine out here and not have to spend a large amount of money.

This is a winter pop-up and JB has created this for Islanders or anyone visiting in the off-season, to enjoy. Part of his mission has always been to take summer profits and put that in to being open 7 days a week all winter long. He invites people to head over for lunch or dinner and enjoy a meal out -- laugh, socialize, be in the moment, and not concerned about the prices on the menu.

Bite Into Savings: ON-N-OFF Island Burger Pop-Up At Sharky’s On Martha’s Vineyard - Milkshake Bonus

One of the most exciting things about ON-AND-OFF Island Burger ,according to my son AJ, are the milkshakes. Here you can get a milkshake for under $6.00. Yes, you read that correctly, and there are even a couple of different options -- vanilla, chocolate, coffee strawberry and Oreo. It's his new favorite spot to stop for a frosty treat.

ON-AND-OFF Island Burger is open for a limited time, and offers an affordable dining option. If you’re craving something quick, affordable, and satisfying this winter,  ON-AND-OFF is worth the stop. Wondering about the Sharky's menu, no need to worry, in addition to  ON-AND-OFF, the full Sharky's menu is available. There are just more options to choose from! Thanks JB Blau for the great photos!
