The holidays are a magical time of year on the Island. The community really comes together to celebrate the magic of the season, in every town! And this year, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser takes a seat at Woods Restaurant at Lambert’s Cove Inn for a new dining twist on fundraising.
An Evening That Makes a Difference
We love that this year, some of the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite bears are heading to West Tisubry, to the Lambert’s Cove Inn restaurant, WOODS, for some fund/friendraising. On Saturday, December 14th, Chef Jimmy Alvarado and his talented culinary team are creating a special night of dining.
On this special Saturday night, 20% of the earnings will go to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s Healthy Happy Kids, their after school program that provides free food to club kids, and helps attack food scarcity.
Did you know that almost 40% of kindergarten thru eighth grade public school children receive food from the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club after school program, Healthy Happy Kids? We are so happy to have WOODS helping us raise the $45,000 needed to fund this vital program.

WOODS is an all new culinary adventure on the Island. The space has been completely redone, and is welcoming and hip. The vibe is coastal chic, modern farmhouse. And the menu, well Jimmy makes incredible food, so it’s always delicious.
The menu he has created for this beary special night has a number of delicious selections. I can only imagine how delicious the Crispy Fried Chicken is or the Mussels & Frites with truffle fries!

Healthy Happy Kids has been funded by the monies raised from the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite over the past four years. Yes, $45,000 was raised with this magical holiday fundraiser through online donations, events, raffles and the suite itself. This year we have to match that $45,000 goal to continue to fund H2K.
