What excitement parents everywhere must feel when they get that email letting them know that summer camps are happening this year. WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Vineyard Family Tennis

Calling all tennis fans! This summer, Vineyard Family Tennis is offering an all new camp – the Martha’s Vineyard Adidas Tennis Camp for kids 7 and up, for all skill levels. “The goal is to provide a solid foundation of tennis fundamentals in​ a challenging, ​fun, and always positive environment.” ​Additionally, they offer an Advanced Training Program for “players aspiring to compete at the highest level.” For more information or to register, click here.

WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Fern & Feather Nature Day Camp

If you love adventure and the outdoors, then Felix Neck has your camp with Fern & Feather Nature Camp “Discovery takes center stage at camp! Through hands-on learning, campers explore their surroundings to better understand nature as well how they can help preserve it. The camp program is designed to connect children to their surroundings and instill a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Our goal is to foster awareness and appreciation of nature, to teach responsibility for the environment, and to promote an understanding of our place in nature. Camp activities are carefully planned to meet these goals and create fun and memorable experiences.”

WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Sassafras Earth Education

Sassafras Earth Education Camp is currently full, with additional spaces being offered in April. At Sassafras, campers will learn about land culture, nature’s language and more.

Sassafras is a 51% Indigenous-led nonprofit that offers nature connection mentoring programs, experiences that transform and build confidence, passion, and vitality. WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Sail MV Summer Camp

Sail MV Summer Camp programs are back. At Sail MV, there are several different skill levels. The camp provides kids with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sailing. This is a program that can continue for children through high school.

“Sail Martha’s Vineyard is committed to promoting, supporting, and actively seeking diversity and inclusivity within the sailing, rowing, boating, and maritime communities of Martha’s Vineyard. Diversity and inclusivity are essential to achieving our mission to make on-the-water training, maritime skills, and environmental sustainability knowledge available to all.”

WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Martha’s Vineyard Adventure Camp

At Martha’s Vineyard Adventure Camp, kids explore Martha’s Vineyard in a fun, challenging, and education way. “Enthusiastic staff lead campers on activities such as mountain biking, rope courses, kayaking, land sports, climbing walls, and beach adventures. Nature hikes, tidal pool explorations, orienteering adventures, frisbee golf, crafts, and friendly competitions are just a few of the other activities included that suit campers’ interests.“

“Throughout camp, campers learn about the different ways in which we all impact our environment and about how they can ‘leave no trace’ when enjoying our natural world. Not only do campers enjoy learning about the plants and animals of Martha’s Vineyard, they also have a chance to get exercise, make friends, and try something new!

WE LOVE MV: Summer 2021 Camps On Martha’s Vineyard – Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club Camp MV

Registration opens March 1st for the MV Boys & Girls Club Camp MV. This year, registration is free for Island youth. “Campers will have three choices for their weekly schedule: either all 5 days OR Monday/Wednesday/Friday OR Tuesday/Thursday.

Drop-off will be between 8 and 9 am, and pick-up will be between 3:30 and 4 pm. Camp will include science, art, gardening, sports, friends, and some possible local excursions in lieu of field trips. WE LOVE MV: Summer Camps On Martha’s Vineyard Summer 2021 -YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard Camp Terra Mare

The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard’s Camp Terra Mare is one of the summer camps that offer a full day, with extended hours. Also, it is available after other camps have closed for the summer.

“Amazing things happen when kids unplug and reconnect with others! Camp Terra Mare provides a fun, safe experience for kids to learn new skills, build self-confidence, and make lasting friendships. Have your child experience the best of summer on Martha’s Vineyard with the Island’s most all-inclusive adventure camp! Swimming, archery, science, arts, beach field trips, Black Dog Tall ship sailing are just a few of our weekly activities. Our fun focused philosophy helps build confidence, develop leadership skills, and encourage teamwork.”

Island Spirit Kayak has not launched its summer 2021 plans as of yet. However, last year, there were Kids Paddle Board Adventure Tours. Check the Island Spirit Kayak website regularly for potential updates. For more information, click here.

There are some camps that are yet to confirm that camp will be happening and what the details are: Featherstone Center for the Arts, Misty Meadows, Chilmark Community Center, Built on Stilts, Arrowhead Farm Pony Camp and Island Theater Workshop are a couple to mention.

We hope that this list of select camps helps you get ready for Summer fun on Martha’s Vineyard. No matter what camp you choose, it’s going to be a great Summer on Martha’s Vineyard. These camps are dedicated to keeping your children safe, while having fun in this crazy world we live in.
