Little did director Stephen Spielberg know that his film would help put the Island of Martha's Vineyard on the map, and help contribute to the destination that it is today. Every year, Jaws fans come to visit the sights where scenes from the movie were filmed. So many of these still exist today because they were not just movie props. JAWS 50th Anniversary Celebration
From JAWS on the big screen with an inside look into behind the scenes of the movie, to parties with access to industry insiders, to an outdoor screening set to a live performance by the Cape Symphony, to seeing the Bruce shark model, and more, the Jaws 50th Celebration has something for everyone. Oh and lets not forget all the fun limited edition Jaws memorabilia, like the CB Stark charm (below) and food and drink items that you'll be able to discover all around the Island.

Thursday, June 19th
Amity Sharks - Join in the fun at the Shark Tank as the Vineyard's baseball team becomes the Amity Sharks. The Amity Sharks take on the Quint Navigators. Celebrate the anniversary with a baseball game like the cast and crew did back in the 70's. Limited edition JAWS jerseys and merchandise will be available. To learn more, click here.
Friday, June 20th
Free Screening of "Jaws" @ 50 The Definitive Inside Story" - National Geographic and Amblin Documentaries along with the MVY Chamber of Commerce and Circuit Arts are presenting the premier of "Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story" which is a soon-to-be released documentary that shares the behind-the-scenes stories of the best selling novel and iconic film. This is a free event at the MVRHS Performing Arts Center, 4:30pm - 6:00pm. Tickets will be available soon, click here for more information.
Jaws the Afterparty - This exclusive event follows the free screening at the PAC. Head to the Harbor View Hotel's Roxy Pool Bar for an unforgettable after party with fellow fans, industry insiders, film makers and more. Saturday, June 21st
Harborfest - The 32nd Annual Harborfest in Oak Bluffs will be celebrating with a JAWS theme this year. Circuit Avenue is closed to traffic and vendors and restaurants line the road and live music is sprinkled throughout the event. For more information, click here.
JAWS 50th Anniversary Outdoor Screening & Jaws in Concert - Experience JAWS like never before. On the stunning grounds of the Winnetu Oceanside Resort, enjoy an outdoor screening of JAWS set to the music of the Cape Symphony. The Martha's Vineyard Museum is hosting a 5-day celebration for the JAWS 50th Anniversary - Amity Weekend Homecoming, June 19th - 23rd. Point B Joins The JAWS 50th Anniversary Celebration Fun
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of JAWS, Point B has launched an interactive social media contest for all rental customers checking in this summer. We're handing out our special JAWS movie location map (above) along with our stuffed animal shark mascot BRUCE. The contest is also open to sales clients who stop by our Edgartown office at 19 Winter Street in Nevin Square.
Guests are invited to take creative photos and/or videos at the various movie map locations, and post to Instragram using our hashtag #jaws50pointb. We'll pick a winner each week, and they receive a $100 cash prize plus a fun JAWS board game. Click here for more details.
