La Strada Comes to Main Street Vineyard Haven

Nestled on Main Street Vineyard Haven (in a location between Green Room and Leslie’s Drug Store), La Strada emerges as a culinary gem from the esteemed owners of Salvatore’s Restaurant. Embark on an Italian escapade as you indulge in authentic flavors in this newly imagined venue. With the promise of very good, affordable, and quality lunch, coffees, fresh food, and a variety of Italian products, wines and cocktails, we expect La Strada to be a popular spot. Even better news, it expects to be open 7 days a week, year-round! So plan to hit the street, “la strada” in Italian, and see what it’s all about this season. Opening date TBD.

Aquila Cafe Pops Up at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum

Aquila, the beloved coffee outpost at the Gay Head Cliffs and inside the YMCA, will make its debut at the at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s First Light Cafe. With a commitment to celebrating local flavors and traditions, Aquila promises a dining experience that pays homage to the Island’s rich heritage. Be sure to check out the cool collection of vintage Martha’s Vineyard coffee mugs they’ve been collecting to capture the Island spirit!

The Renovated Art Cliff Diner is Ready for a Busy Summer

While Art Cliff has been a mainstay restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard since 1943, they reopened in the fall of 2023 with a whole new look and big facelift, after being closed for almost two years. Known for its nostalgic decorations, expansive menu, and hometown feel, this iconic diner is back in a big way. Expect long lines this season as flocks of visitors and seasonal residents return to check it out.

Wicked (Good?) Burgers Expected in Edgartown

Alchemy chef and owner Christopher Stam invites you to venture into the world of smash burgers with his new venture Wicked Burger, which is slated to take over the former location of R & B’s Eatery in Edgartown. The new eatery is expected to be thoughtful but casual, and it makes for good one-stop-shopping on the way to the beach, conveniently located beside a bait and tackle and package store. While the menu and atmosphere will be an exciting departure from the likes of Alchemy, we expect the commitment to quality and taste to be right up there.

9 Craft Kitchen & Bar to Move into the Mansion House on Main Street Vineyard Haven

The team behind 19 Raw Oyster Bar and 19 Prime Cast Iron Steakhouse in Edgartown recently announced their plans to bring 9 Craft Kitchen & Bar to Main Street Vineyard Haven, inside the Mansion House Hotel. It’s expected to bring a contemporary and creative addition to the Island’s culinary scene. Their craft kitchen will “harness new world cuisine that will blend ingredients and cultures through food and drink to give an original, fun, and delicious dining experience. It will be clean and crisp and maintain a classic heart with a modern flare.” We’ll see you there!
