With Spring right around the corner, many Island businesses are reopening after a Winter hiatus. This is always a fun time for those of us who live here year round and for those who like to visit during the quieter months.
Edgartown
Espresso Love, Lucky Hank’s and Edgartown Diner have opened as of March 2nd. Edgartown Meat & Fish is planning to open March 3rd after some renovations (looking forward to seeing the changes).
Mid month, March 16th, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, The Wharf opens it’s doors. I can only imagine the shenanigans that night will entail.
Don’t forget that Rockfish is open too for dinner, and they offer an amazing special, free passed apps for a certain time – find out the details in Rockfish: Thursday & Friday Nights Are The Place To Be In Edgartown – The Frugal Foodie Stops By
Also, wanted to remind you that Rosewater reopened earlier in February after its Winter break (which felt like forever for those of us who go often).
West Tisbury
7a will reopen at 7:00 a.m., think of the joy of a yummy warm egg sandwich on a housemade biscuit. That parking lot is so lonely without them open. Also, I wanted to remind you that The Food Truck is still serving up lunch down by the Homeport.
State Road has a longer break, reopening Thursday, March 29th. Looks like I am going to have to wait for trying their well-liked brunch (which I am yet to experience, I know crazy right).
Vineyard Haven
The Scottish Bakehouse reopens on March 1st which is a life saver for many – for breakfast, lunch and takeaway dinner. This is also one of my favorite spots to write. The coffee is great, the food is awesome and it’s always an interesting scene.
The Larder is closed through March 10th. Hopefully there will be some Kulture Club Kombucha available!
Also, Beach Road has reopened it’s doors. The views of the lagoon are just as lovely in March as they are in the Summer. I look forward to seeing what this season holds for this restaurant.
Vineyard Caribbean Cuisine is back too as of March, 2nd. The meat pies and ox tails are a must to try!
Oak Bluffs
The Ritz reopens March 3rd with an updated menu and some interior changes as well. Oh and I should mention that there will be a trivia night added to the line-up go have fun.
The Ocean View has reopened as well. Be on the lookout for some updates to the space and don’t forget about their brunch! The french toast is out of the world!
Mocha Motts on Circuit Avenue is planning on opening March 15th, but that could change depending on how things go. I really miss having this coffee shop open in town when it’s closed.
Linda Jean’s reopens March 16th, and I am so ready for a Sampson (2 pancakes, 2 eggs & 2 sausage patty)!
Slice of Life reopens on March 16th as well….think fried green tomato sandwich or my favorite – the portobello! Don’t forget about daily and lunch and dinner specials!
These are just of the few doors opening. As the weather gets better, even more Island favorites will be back, and we’ll be there to see what’s new! Let me know if there are any I have missed. Also, I’d like to give a big shout out to all the restaurants that stay open year-round! I know it’s not always easy!
