Outermost Inn

Located on the western edge of the Vineyard in Aquinnah, The Outermost Inn offers a setting that feels truly unique to the Island. Think sweeping ocean views, a front-row seat to the iconic Gay Head Lighthouse, salty beach breezes, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets you’ll ever experience.

Start your evening in an Adirondack chair with a cocktail in hand as the sun slowly melts into the horizon. It’s the kind of moment that invites you to pause, unwind, and relive the highlights of your day together.

When it’s time for dinner, move to the patio on warm summer nights or settle into the cozy dining room when there’s a chill in the air. Either way, you’re in for something special. The Outermost Inn offers a thoughtfully curated prix fixe menu featuring four courses, along with bread service and coffee—each dish crafted to feel like part of a memorable culinary journey. There’s also a raw bar for those craving the freshest local oysters and clams. The beverage program is equally well considered, with cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktail options available.

Dinner reservations here are highly sought after, and seating is limited—so planning ahead is essential. Reservations open May 1 and are accepted by phone only. To learn more, visit: https://outermostinn.com.

Woods Restaurant at Lambert's Cove Inn

What makes the Woods Restaurant standout is the experience. The meandering wooded drive, the inn revealing itself almost like a hidden gem, and the gardens that feel intentionally a little wild rather than overly manicured. Grab a glass of wine and wander, say hi to the Alpaca. It feels different from a typical restaurant visit. It’s less “dinner” and more “evening escape.”

The Spring menu is coming soon. What to expect—seasonal, local ingredients, dishes that feel special, thoughtful. Dinner reservations are suggested. Reservations open mid-May when the restaurant opens to the public and requested 24 hours in advance. are To learn more, visit: https://lambertscoveinn.com/woods-restaurant-marthas-vineyard-fine-dining/

Vineyard Haven

The Ocean Club

One of the Vineyard’s newest dining destinations, The Ocean Club made an immediate impression when it opened last summer in Vineyard Haven —and it hasn’t slowed down since. Housed in the historic “Old Stone Bank,” the space itself is a revelation, blending architectural character with a beautifully modern transformation that surprises from the moment you step inside.

The menu evolves throughout the year, guided by the chef’s inspiration and a focus on local, seasonal ingredients, all with a subtle Mediterranean influence.

Begin your evening with a drink at the bar, and don’t miss the chance to ask about the RCA dog just to the right—a small detail that adds to the charm. On your way to the table, take a peek inside the wine vault (yes, the original bank vault), then settle in for what’s sure to be a memorable meal.

Detente

Nestled in the back of Nevin Square, right behind Point B, Detente offers a frequently changing menu built around the freshest ingredients, blending inventive American cuisine with European influences.  Expect local seafood, hand-rolled pastas, and house-made desserts. Since the menu changes so much throughout the season, we recommend you go often. The wine list is extensive, featuring both regional favorites and global finds. Dine upstairs, on the main floor, at the 5 person bar, or outside on the breezy garden patio.

Settle in and be prepared to experience a true culinary journey. If the peach salad is on the menu, be certain to get one, if not two. This salad is one of my all time favorites. The only problem is that you need to wait until the peaches are in season. Dinner reservations are recommended. To learn more, visit: https://www.detentemv.com/.
