Ah the later days of August, you draw us in with your warm days and cooler nights. This is a truly special time of year on Martha’s Vineyard. To add to the magic of the season, be sure to visit The FARM Institute for Pick Your Own Sun Flowers.
Now in its third year, Pick Your Own Sunflowers has become a Summer tradition not to miss. This year, The Farm Institute’s sunflower field has a new home on the farm, and the sunflowers seem more plentiful than ever!
Field of Magic – Pick Your Own Sunflowers at The FARM Institute On Martha’s Vineyard Lots of Variety
With eight different varieties to pick from, including Ring of Fire, Procut White Lite, Sunrich Summer Provence, the field is a sight to behold. You get to walk through rows and rows of sunflowers. It truly is a field of magic. Oh and there is a pumpkin patch in the works too! You can bet we will be back in the Fall for pumpkins!
Field of Magic – Pick Your Own Sunflowers at The FARM Institute On Martha’s Vineyard Schedule
WHERE: The FARM INSTITUTE’S one-acre sunflower field
WHEN: Wednesday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p..m. | Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.,m.
HOW: The FARM Institute provides you with a bucket and a pair of clippers. Bring your OWN container to transport the flowers home. Pre-registration is encouraged, click here to reserve your spot
COST: It is $9.00 per member family and $15.00 per non-family member, with 10 stems included in that price. It’s $2.00 for each additional stem.

*Katma Farm Update – The FARM Institute and Slough Farm have 30 acres of land to use for education purposes and for animals. The remaining 132 are leased to Morning Glory Farm and Grey Barn.
