It’s funny how I sometimes forget that some places are open in the off-season, like Isola in Edgartown. Not the the dining room, but the pizza place, next to Espresso Love.
Since the Frugal Foodie will be soon coming to an end with Summer approaching, I thought I’d try to give you a couple more restaurants to visit before then.
Dining out with the family can be expensive and challenging, but what kid doesn’t like spaghetti? I know this is a family favorite for us. So, it seemed as though visiting Isola for its all you can eat pasta (7-days-a-week) might be a good idea.
Family Fun Night
We went on a Saturday night. Pasta all around for the Cramers. It’s $8.95 for the adults and kids 12 and under are $4.95. Seriously, those are the prices. You can add Isola’s house made meatballs for $1.25 a piece which of course we had to add. What’s spaghetti without meatballs.
A nice glass of Malbec for the parents, endless bowls of spaghetti with marinara and fresh parm for everyone, and I would have to say that dinner was a success. An added bonus was that it wasn’t even expensive.
For me, it was nice to have another family friendly place to go for dinner. My kiddos had a lot of fun slurping up noodles and making a mess, which was OK. Just wiped the sauce off the tablecloth and were all good.
There were other families there too, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a nice break from my usual jaunts, and one that I think I’ll visit again.
I am more of a pizza girl than a pasta girl, and currently Isola has another special that might interest you. Buy any pizza and get a second plain cheese for $6. Once again, perfect for families. Cheese for the kiddos and one of Isola’s signature pies, like the Buffalo Chicken — I love the blue cheese drizzle — just enough heat and a little coolness to lead to pie perfection.
You can learn more about Isola on Facebook. And speaking of social media, don’t forget to “Like” us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter, Linked In, Google+, Pinterest and Youtube.

This sounds great! Spaghetti is my sons favorite food and he asks for it every night. This is definitely a must-go for any family with small kids this is an amazing price for all-you-can-eat.
My kiddos loved it and it didn’t break the bank – enjoy!
