Edgartown Village Market
One of the newest additions to Martha's Vineyard's summer market scene, the Edgartown Village Market has quickly become one of our favorites. This bike and pedestrian-friendly, open-air market is tucked behind the historic Daniel Fisher House in the heart of downtown Edgartown, making it an easy stop while exploring the village—or the perfect reason to plan a trip into town.
With more than 25 local vendors, the market offers an impressive selection of farm-fresh produce, Fire Cat Farm flowers, baked goods and provisions, Martha's Vineyard Coffee Company iced coffee, handcrafted jewelry, artwork, home goods, and other one-of-a-kind artisanal finds. Whether you're picking up ingredients for dinner, shopping for your home, searching for the perfect hostess gift, or simply treating yourself, there's something to discover at every table.
The welcoming atmosphere and convenient downtown location make the Edgartown Village Market a wonderful place to shop local while supporting Martha's Vineyard's farmers, foodies, makers, and artists.

Chilmark Flea Market
A beloved Martha's Vineyard tradition, the Chilmark Flea Market is a one-of-a-kind shopping experience that draws both Islanders and visitors year after year. Located at 142 North Road, in the field across from the historic Chilmark Schoolhouse, this charming open-air market is the perfect place to spend a leisurely morning browsing unique finds.
Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from mid-June through early September, the market is known for its carefully curated collection of handcrafted goods, antiques, vintage treasures, imports, jewelry, clothing, home décor, and artwork. You'll also find many talented local artisans, including Island Wampum, Vineyard Clothiers, Sarah Nelson Art, Roy Swim, and many more, making it an excellent place to discover authentic Martha's Vineyard craftsmanship.
We've heard that this season, S & S Kitchenette has been serving delicious prepared food, making it easy to grab a bite while you explore. S & S Kitchenette is known for it's delicious food so this is an added bonus. Plan to spend plenty of time wandering from booth to booth—every vendor offers something different, and you're almost guaranteed to leave with a special treasure or two.

Oak Bluffs Open Market
Every Sunday from June through October, the Oak Bluffs Open Market transforms Washington Park, just steps from the Oak Bluffs Harbor, into one of the Island's only Sunday weekly markets in town. With its lively atmosphere and waterfront location, it's the perfect place to begin a Sunday of exploring downtown Oak Bluffs.
The market features an eclectic mix of Island-grown produce, fresh flowers, original artwork, handmade jewelry, fine crafts, specialty foods, vintage treasures, and unique gifts from talented local makers. One of our favorite discoveries this season is Snapdragon Soaps, whose handcrafted, Island-inspired soaps not only look beautiful but smell absolutely heavenly.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the market features live music from local musicians each week, making it as much an experience as it is a place to shop. After browsing the vendors, you're just a short stroll from Oak Bluffs' boutiques, restaurants, beaches, and harbor, making it easy to turn your market visit into a full day of Island fun.

West Tisbury Farmers Market
A true Martha's Vineyard institution, the West Tisbury Farmers Market has been bringing together local farmers, fishermen, artisans, and food producers—rain or shine—since 1974. Held at the West Tisbury Agricultural Hall, this beloved market is one of the Island's premier destinations for shopping local and experiencing the best of Vineyard agriculture and food purveyors.
The market features the Island's largest selection of locally grown and made products. You'll find farm-fresh produce, sustainably harvested seafood, locally raised meats, fresh flowers, herbs, baked goods, handcrafted fiber products, specialty foods (be sure to stop by Soiree MV), and an incredible variety of prepared foods and beverages.
One of the things we love most about this market is that you can gather everything you need for an unforgettable Martha's Vineyard meal—all from local vendors. From just-picked vegetables and fresh seafood to artisan breads and homemade treats, every visit is an opportunity to taste the Island.
Be sure to arrive early for a box of Salt Rock Chocolates—they're a local favorite and often sell out quickly! And don't leave without trying the delicious egg rolls from Khen's Kitchen. While those are two of our must-haves, there are countless other vendors and culinary discoveries waiting with every participant.
With its fun, farm feel incredible variety, and long-standing tradition, the West Tisbury Farmers Market is a quintessential Martha's Vineyard summer experience.

The Vineyard Artisans Festival
Now in its 31st year, the Vineyard Artisans Festival has been a cherished Martha's Vineyard tradition, celebrating the Island's remarkable community of artists and makers. Held rain or shine at The Grange Hall in West Tisbury, this juried art festival is the perfect destination for anyone searching for authentic, locally handcrafted treasures.
Featuring more than 70 Island artisans, the festival showcases an impressive collection of fine art, pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, clothing, woodworking, home décor, handcrafted gifts, and specialty food products, including local honey, coffee, and other Vineyard-made treats. Best of all, visitors have the opportunity to meet the artists themselves, learn about their creative process, and purchase directly from the people who make each piece.
As the Island's only weekly juried art show, the Vineyard Artisans Festivals have become a must-visit summer event for both Islanders and visitors looking to bring home a truly unique piece of Martha's Vineyard.
The tradition continues beyond the summer season with special holiday festivals held over Columbus Day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend, and again in mid-December, making it easy to shop local throughout the year.

Aquinnah Flea Market
The newest additions to Martha's Vineyard's summer market scene is the Aquinnah Flea Market. New for the 2026 season, we're excited to see this new up-Island tradition. Held on Thursdays at the Aquinnah Baptist Church grounds, the market is quickly becoming another great reason to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the Island.
While we haven't had the chance to visit just yet, it's at the top of our summer bucket list. The market features a rotating lineup of vendors offering handcrafted goods, artwork, vintage treasures, locally made products, and other unique up-Island finds. Live music adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to browse and shop.
After exploring the market, make the most of your trip to Aquinnah. Head to the Cliffs and treat yourself to something delicious from Aquila, pick up a fresh loaf of bread from The Gay Head Store, and don't miss the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views of the iconic Gay Head Cliffs and the historic Gay Head Lighthouse.

Nomans Artisans Market
Back for its second season, the Nomans Artisans Market has quickly become one of Martha's Vineyard's most unique shopping experiences. As the Island's only evening market, it's the perfect way to spend a summer night with family or friends.
This lively market combines everything people love about summer on Martha's Vineyard—great food, refreshing cocktails and mocktails, lawn games, live music, and an incredible lineup of local vendors. Browse booths featuring Island makers, artists, collectors, curators, bakers, and crafters, all while enjoying the fun, laid-back atmosphere that Nomans is known for.
