Not-To-Miss Fall Dining & Deals At Martha’s Vineyard Restaurants Off-Season

In case you didn’t notice, off-season on Martha’s Vineyard has really begun. And with that comes fewer restaurants open for us to enjoy, but it also means that some of the best and most fun food deals on the Island are in effect.

Offshore Ale 2-For-1 Is Back

The Bar At Offshore Ale Oak Bluffs Dining SpecialThe Island’s favorite 2-for-1 at Offshore Ale is back.  Starting Monday, November 4th,  at 5 p.m. buy one entrée and get one free, and this is the place to be all winter long. Most likely there will be a wait, but where else can you find a restaurant jam-packed with familiar faces, and don’t forget the fireplace.

Don’t worry, the super yummy fried chicken is coming back soon, and rumor has it, that lobster mac & cheese might make its way to the menu. The great thing is that this promo includes almost everything on the menu.

Want to beat the wait? It is possible, but it means that you’ll have to be there at 5 p.m., eating really early. Not your thing? Well perhaps coming after 8 p.m. might afford you less of a wait, but there’s no guarantee.

After all, this is the hottest place to be on Martha’s Vineyard. At least you can sip on some beer while you wait, including the Wicked Pumpkin.

Two Times The Joy At State Road

State Road Restaurant now has two Burger Nights, that’s right, this super popular menu is now available the usual Thursdays and now Wednesdays too.

Have you not been to their Burger Night? Well, it’s the night that State Road offers a menu with all sorts of different burgers, including the one that’s usually on the menu.

For example, I’m craving the Chorizo Burger with its house-made chorizo, pepperjack, refried beans, and avocado, on a pretzel roll right now – yum!

State Road offers you a chance to get a little wild with your burgers in one of the most popular restaurants on the Island. After all, who doesn’t love a burger and a beer and followed by a delicious milkshake for dessert!

Brunch With A View & A Deal

I just found out something that’s pretty cool that I didn’t know – the Harbor View Hotel’s phenomenal brunch is buy one get one half off with your Island Club card. That’s a pretty good deal on top of all the other things you get discounts on with the Island card.

For this brunch at Water Street Restaurant come hungry and thirsty since there is some serious food available. The oysters are always a crowd pleaser, and of course, the Bloody Marys are spectacular to sip while looking out at the Edgartown Lighthouse, a view that never gets old.

Lookout For A Longer Season

With its serious renovation last year, the Lookout Tavern is staying open even later than usual this year. I have heard that it might even be open until January 1st. We’ll have to wait and see.

Whoohoo that means another restaurant to visit on these long dark nights, and there’s incentive.  Thursday night is Seafood Thursday which means that most seafood entrees are buy one get one free.  Think about fish and chips, or one of my guilty pleasures, the clam strips.

Monday through Friday is Raw Bar Happy Hour. This is great for all us shellfish lovers. From 3 – 6 p.m., oysters and shrimp are $1.50 and clams are $1.00.  These deals provide you with the perfect excuse to head there with friends, as if you really need one.

I should also mention Sushi Sundays, where sushi is 25% off from 5 p.m. to closing.  Hmmmm, I have mixed feelings on this one, but hey, I love going to The Lookout, so chances are you might find me there taking advantage of it.

Atria, The Black Dog & More Deals

Artia’s Burger Night started a while ago. Sunday nights, the Brick Cellar Bar is the place to be. I love this night. A movie before or after at Entertainment Cinemas, the Frenchie or the Mary’s Little Lamb Burger (pictured here) and some fine Pino Noir or Cabernet – forget the light lamp, this is one sure way to chase away the Winter blues!

The Grill is pretty much always 2-for-1 entrees don’t forget, and The Black Dog Tavern will most likely start their off-season-dinner specials again. Also, be on the lookout for some fun winter specials from the Harbor View Hotel. Hopefully something on a Tuesday, since Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays already have something on the table.

One of the benefits to being here this time of year, getting together with friends and family at some of our favorite restaurants.  Soon, we’ll be in our fleece by 5:15 p.m., hunkered down, barely leaving our cozy little homes, but eating can be a great motivator for getting us Islanders out of the house.

Blizzard Time

Though not exactly a deal or a promotion, Dairy Queen in Edgartown is still open and plans to stay open until Christmas in Edgartown. There are already Christmas inspired Blizzards for the first time ever at the Edgartown Dairy Queen. Sign me up!

I love a reason for ice cream even if it’s 30 degrees out. Also, think of the possibility of ice cream cakes for holiday parties. It’s great that a number of places are staying open longer this year!

Let me know if I missed any awesome foodie deals on Martha’s Vineyard. Enjoy and thanks for reading On Point.

Thank you for the terrific information on restaurants that are open and some of the fantastic deals. Our two Gordon setters: Chester & Cooper will love hearing that Dairy Queen will be open through Dec. as it is their favorite place for a soft serve treat!
