It’s finally here, Christmas in Edgartown. And among the festivities and holiday traditions, there is the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite raffle.
Why should you get excited about this? After all, everyone has a raffle — but not like this one!
The Vineyard Restaurant Experience
Now in its fourth year, this highly anticipated fundraising raffle experience offers the winner the most amazing collection of gift certificates from 19 of Martha’s Vineyard best restaurants.
This year, we’ve outdone ourselves. The winner of this deluxe dining raffle gets to be the ultimate Island foodie, and all you have to do is buy a raffle ticket. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
Like the rest of the Teddy Bear Suite fundraising, all the money raised goes to support the vital After School Programs of the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.
Get ready to get hungry. Here’s the restaurant lineup for Vineyard Restaurant Experience:
Art Cliff Diner ($50)
Behind the Bookstore
Beach Road ($50.00)
Slice of Life
Henry’s at the Harbor View
Newes from America Pub
Edgartown Meat & Fish
20 By Nine
Can you image winning all 19 gift certificates? You can use one, once-a-day for almost a month, or one a month, and have a guaranteed date night! This is an epic raffle win, and it can only be won, once a year. The gift certificates range from $25 to $50. The total value is over $500.
One of my favorite things about this particular collection is how fun it is to go to the restaurants and talk with the owners. Their generosity and commitment to helping the Boys & Girls Club is so wonderful. I think next year, I will shoot for 20 Island restaurants!
Looking for the perfect mom & daughter gift? We have it. Well known Island jewelry store CB Stark has joined our fundraiser this year, and donated a classic and a small signature Island Tie bracelet.
These bracelets are timeless treasures. My daughter, who is now 5, has worn her Island Tie every day since she got hers at 6 months old. It is a constant reminder of one’s love of, and how we’re “tied” to this magical Island.
Receiving these bracelets as a gift would be sure to delight. Value $240. They can be yours, but only if you enter to win it. Don’t forget that both CB Stark locations — Edgartown and Vineyard Haven — are open for the holidays.
Lure In The Guys
Island artist, Abe Pieciak, has donated one of his Lure-Fish prints. His creative, fun, colorful creations are becoming really popular. For the Teddy Bear Suite raffle, he has donated a framed Menemsha Fishing Boat. This is sure to be loved by someone on your list who loves to boat or fish or is a fan of Menemsha. Value $150.
Curious about Abe and Lure-Fish, well I was too. So, I met with him a few months back, and got his story. Here it is, A-Luring Art: Lure-Fish From Martha’s Vineyard.
Getaway To MV Or Staycation
The Harbor View Hotel — our Teddy Bear Suite hosting partner — has donated a one-night stay in a deluxe Captain’s Cottage (just like the Teddy Bear Suite — without all the bears) plus breakfast.
Winning this Vineyard Getaway gives you the perfect reason to come back to the Island and have an Island experience that will be memorable. Value $1,000.
If you live on-Island, invite a friend to come visit or use it for a little “staycation” and pamper yourself. A night at the Harbor View Hotel, where you’re in walking distance to everything in town.
Enjoy a drink on the porch, no matter what the weather, from Henry’s, perhaps a Chocolate Teddy, which is this year’s signature drink from Henry’s, created just for the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite. Three dollars of every Chocolate Teddy sold goes to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. Cheers!
During the Christmas in Edgartown weekend (Dec. 11 – 13), the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Raffle is held in the lobby of the Harbor View Hotel. You can buy a raffle ticket and then head to the Teddy Bear Suite which is in the Captain Rowley Cottage. Winners will be announced Monday, Dec. 14th.

The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite is more than an enchanting world of holiday magic and warm, fuzzy teddy bears. It’s fun with a purpose. It’s an important fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club. This year, with your help, we’re hoping to raise $15,000 for the Club.
We’re more than halfway there, with about $8,000 raised so far. So, we’re doing great, but still need your help!
The Boys & Girls Club charges parents just $20 per year for their After School Program. That’s less than most people spend on dinner. This special program is a vital part of so many Island families’ childcare needs. The program is used every week by hundreds of families and their elementary school aged children.
What Can $15,000 Provide For The Club?
- $15,000 = Bus transportation for over 60 kids after school each day to attend the Club
- $15,000 = Free snacks and meals for over 90 kids each day after school for the school year
- $15,000 = Program supplies for art, education, athletic, and recreation programs for a year
Through donations online, donations given at the Teddy Bear Suite, and through special events like this raffle, and our up-coming Teddy Bear Trot, Holiday Fun Run, together we are able to make a difference in the lives of Island children. If you can’t make it to one of the events, you can still help. Click here to donate online.
