When The Net Result closed its doors for renovations, the sadness ran deep across Martha's Vineyard. For decades, this beloved seafood market has been the go-to destination for the Island's freshest seafood and some of the best takeout around. We waited with bated breath for its return, and just in time for Fourth of July weekend, The Net Result reopened—and it was well worth the wait.
What's New at The Net Result?
From the moment you arrive, you'll notice the transformation. The exterior has been completely redesigned with a fresh, modern coastal aesthetic. The expanded patio is even more inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy your takeaway meal while taking in the beautiful views of Vineyard Haven Harbor.
Step inside, and the changes continue. The space is brighter, more open, and feels like an elevated seafood market while still maintaining the welcoming charm that locals and visitors have always loved. The impressive new seafood display case beautifully showcases the day's freshest catch—from plump scallops and swordfish to local fish and shellfish. Even the stunning Margot Datz mural, which has been part of the space for several years, seems to shine in its new surroundings.
The renovation also makes it easier than ever to create an incredible seafood dinner at home. Alongside the fresh seafood selection, you'll find an expanded variety of prepared sides, sauces, and accompaniments, making The Net Result a true one-stop shop for your next meal.
Of course, the takeout menu is as delicious as ever. Fan favorites like the Lobster Salad Roll, Poke Bowls, Stuffed Quahogs, and many more remain on the menu, alongside the convenient grab-and-go selections. One of our personal favorites is the Shrimp Chipotle Wrap—perfect for lunch on the go. Sushi lovers will also appreciate the new dedicated sushi bar, serving the same incredibly fresh sushi that has earned The Net Result its loyal following.
Whether you're stocking up for a seafood feast at home, grabbing lunch by the harbor, picking up dinner after a day at the beach or at work, grabbing lobster bisque for a dinner party, the newly renovated Net Result delivers everything you loved before—with an even fresher, more beautiful experience.
So Many Changes, Yet So Much Has Stayed the Same
While the transformation is certainly impressive, you may be surprised to learn that many of the biggest improvements happened behind the scenes. The renovation wasn't just about creating a beautiful new space for customers—it was also about making The Net Result an even better seafood market for the entire Island.
As the largest wholesale seafood supplier for Martha's Vineyard restaurants, caterers, and private chefs, The Net Result plays an essential role in the Island's food community. A significant portion of the renovation focused on upgrading the wholesale operation, giving it a much-needed facelift and creating a more efficient space to serve both local businesses and the fishermen who supply the market with the freshest catch.
You may also be wondering about the second floor and the area behind the building. The second floor continues to house office and storage space, while the rear of the property is now home to a much larger backup generator. While not the most glamorous addition, it's one of the most important. The upgraded generator helps ensure The Net Result can continue serving the Island year-round, even during unexpected power outages.
Stay Tuned...
The excitement doesn't stop with the renovation. Earlier this year, The Net Result, part of the Santoro Hospitality Group, purchased the neighboring property that was once home to The Ice Box.
While there aren't any official announcements just yet, the space is already being put to good use with additional outdoor seating for customers. As for what's next? We'll just have to wait and see.
An ice cream shop? Another delicious takeaway concept? We'll be keeping an eye on it—and we'll be the first to let you know when more details are announced.
Whether you're stocking up for a seafood feast at home, grabbing lunch by the harbor, or picking up dinner after a day at the beach, the newly renovated Net Result delivers everything you loved before—with an even fresher, more memorable experience. The Net Result Fish Market is open daily, 9am - 7pm and takeout is open daily, 10am - 8pm during the Summer.
Point B tip - take your Net Result takeout to the picnic tables by the lagoon, across from the market. It's a special way to enjoy a water view. And by the way, our Point B Vacation Rentals office is just across the way from the picnic tables. The Net Result is an easy stop as you come and go from Point B.
