Tonight is the Tisbury Holiday Stroll. This is the night to head to Vineyard Haven and maybe start your shopping, pick up some final special things, and of course maybe treat yourself!
What is the Tisbury Holiday Stroll?
You might be asking — Well, many of the businesses on Main Street are hosting special events and offering incentives for you to do some serious shopping for Christmas and Hanukkah locally.
With extended evening hours tonight, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., you’ll have plenty of time to shop after work or after dinner.
Here are a couple of stores and some of the discounts being offered to shoppers during the Tisbury Holiday Stroll
If you need something special in the clothing department, The Green Room is offering 20% off your entire purchase, and you don’t even have to bring a coupon from the paper! That means Barbour and Hunter and the best jeans on the Island are 20 % off – time to get shopping.
And you know that the staff is super helpful and will be happy to help you find that perfect something.
Also, The Green Room team can even wrap your presents if you make a donation to the Red Stocking Fund. You can find that perfect gift and have it wrapped and ready just like that.
Rainy Day, which is full of fun finds, is hosting its annual Friends & Family night. At the door, you pick a coupon and you can save anywhere form 20% to 40% off your entire purchase.
I like those odds and this girl likes a deal! Also, I always like the cookies Heather and the team has there. Seriously, I don’t think I ever walk out of that store without buying something.
Bespoke Abode has some delightful holiday items that will add a little something to your home and guess what, holiday stuff is 50% off. The rest of the store is 25% off.
There’s a chandelier made out of oyster shells there that I am in love with, and so many other chic things for your home and you!
CB Stark is offering a $10 gift card for every $100 you spend, and if you’re an Island Club member, there’s something in your email you might want to check. One for them, one for you, maybe something sparkly for the new year?
Head down Main Street a bit to Citrine where you’ll find an amazing assortment of small designer wares that are sure to make even the pickiest person smile.
Speaking of smile, Tanya Rustigan will be hosting a trunk show there with her jewelry collection, Trust. There will be special discounts at the store as well.
I’ve known Tanya for years, wrote an On Point about her story and her jewelry, and have a couple of her pieces. Her jewelry appeals to a wide variety of people and it has a reasonable price point.
While you’re down there, don’t forget to stop by Brickyard. Scott and Kate love a reason to throw a party.
So, you’ll be entertained, fed a bit, and maybe have a drink, and you can enjoy some of the special discounts offered for the Tisbury Stroll.
When you need a little more sustenance, you can head to Copper Wok, which is giving 20% off all food except sushi, if you show a receipt from a local business from that night (dine in only). A perfect way to end an evening of shopping.
Invite friends, you can make a whole night out of it, and you don’t even need an excuse. You have to shop, most likely, you probably like to save a little money where you can, support local businesses, and you have to eat, and it’s the perfect night to do it all.
There’s something special about shopping on our main streets. Seeing old friends, spreading holiday cheer, it’s a festive, fun night for sure.
These are just a few of the stores’ specials for the Tsibury Holiday Stroll. Look for this poster at participating businesses. And happy shopping.
