An Evening With Tim Conway
Last night comedy legend Tim Conway greeted guests at The Boathouse club in Edgartown with a smile and some pretty good one liners. From 18 to 98, we were all laughing. He even did a little Q&A with his captivated audience. Then as he made his way through the crowd, Mr. Conway had plenty of funny and personal things to say to us all.
When he saw my son asleep in the Baby Bjorn, he came up to me and told me that I really should get that growth looked at, and continued to joke about it, leaving us almost in tears. For almost 80 years old, he is one quick, amazingly funny guy.
The Tim Conway Show
If you missed last night’s “An Evening with Tim Conway,” not to fear, you can see Tim Conway and the Vineyard’s own Louise DuArt tonight in the “Tim Conway Show” at the MVRHS Performing Arts Center in Oak Bluffs. At 7pm, Mr. Conway and Ms. DuArt will be taking the stage and bringing the laughs.
From zany stories to witty jokes to the most hysterical celebrity impressions, tonight you are guaranteed to have your fair share of laughs. From what I heard, Mr. Conway will be doing a Q&A with the audience tonight as well. Where else will you be able to talk to such a legend? It really is a don’t miss opportunity.
Tickets are only $20 and are still available at the door tonight if you’re in the mood for a little fun. And aside from enjoying a great show, you’ll be happy to know that the event benefits the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund and a number of local charities which include the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, Vineyard Power, the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard Teen Center, and of course, the MVRHS Performing Arts Center. So, there’s no reason on this rainy day not to grab a friend or two or the entire family and enjoy a little Tim Conway and Louise DuArt humor.
