Christmas Shopping On Martha’s Vineyard – Finally I was able to visit Vineyard Haven to do some Christmas shopping. I really, really love shopping here this time of year.
There are so many great things to find in this little gem of a town that can’t be found elsewhere. This is when shopping is fun and really enjoyable.
Vineyard Haven Shopping Guide
Everywhere I went there were incredible finds, but this little handy dandy Christmas Shopping On Martha’s Vineyard Guide shouldn’t be a book. So, I am highlighting a couple of my favorites.
My all time favorite find of the day is the gnomes from Refabulous Decor. Owner, Anne Marie Eddy has brought her love of these adorable creatures to her store. There are grey gnomes, red gnomes and green gnomes. And you can bet one went home with me and a couple other for gifts. The Christmas tea towel featured above is also from Refabulous Decor.
I could NOT resist these cuties, and at $12 a pop — they won’t break the bank. The Cramer gnome has been christened Kringle, and I only hope that others enjoy their gnome gift as much as I do!
When I walked into The Beach House, I immediately spied their leather Christmas door hangers with jingle bells, I found these to be super charming. You can bet that Santa is going to but one of under my tree (the red crab). I plan to use this all year long as my dinner bell. No more yelling up the stairs to get the kids for me!
At Brickyard, you’ll find these adorable handmade Island Zip Code dishes. These are the perfect hostess gifts for all those Christmas parties on your calendar. There are so many other fun finds at this store too. PS – their jewelry is 40% off!
Next store to Brickyard, is Bunch of Grapes. This iconic Island bookstore has something for anyone and everyone on your list. Talia Luening, book enthusiast and employee, is more than happy to help you find just the right book. This one highlighting 80’s movies is so fun. Flipping through it, I was flooded with memories from my childhood.
I don’t know about you, but sleep is on my Christmas wish list. There are not enough hours in the day to get it all done this time of year. At the cashwrap at Rainy Day, you’ll find Tokyomilk Radiant Glow Luminzer. This bronzey liquid gold is the perfect way to give your skin a touch of radiance. No one needs to know you’re exhausted!
At The Green Room, you’ll find many things that you’ll want. From Patagonia to Frye to the most fabulous cashmere, there are fabulous things everywhere you turn. How about this Hobo clutch for that lady on your list. The leather is beautiful and it’s a classic with a little edge to it. It comes in black, grey and red.
Also note the next thing in hair ties is available at the Green Room. Imsy has created hair bands made out of extra swim fabric. These won’t pull on your hair and dry super quickly if they get wet because they are made out of swimsuit material.
I don’t have a huge sweet tooth but I am a sucker for anything caramel (and Swedish Fish). These caramels found at Le Roux Home are glorious caramels for adults. Hands off kiddos! Mc Crea’s Caramels are handmade in Boston, and are sure to dazzle the caramel fan in your life.
Homegoods For The Holidays
I know that I mentioned the zip code bowls, but I have to include the Townie Pillow from Bespoke Abode. It is the perfect present for your island home and for those who love Martha’s Vineyard. I have a small navy blue zip code from Bespoke and it’s one of my favorite pillows.
When shopping in Vineyard Haven, don’t forget to visit the Workshop Gallery. Open for the holidays, you’ll find a great collection of Island artists including Elysha Roberts of Elysha Joy Metals.
Her new collection is inspired by fish. I love that she takes something you may not think if of as beautiful, like fish tales, and creates beautiful earrings. I have always been an admirer of her work. If you’d like to learn more, you can read Elysha Joy Metals, Inspired By Nature, Created On Martha’s Vineyard.
All that shopping can be exhausting. A little self-care might be in order. Caleen’s Day Spa is offering a couple specials from now until the end of the year that might interest you. For example, a one hour massage, and a mani/pedi for $148! Kinda hard to resist that one!
Shopping on Martha’s Vineyard during Christmas is a little magical. The spirit of the holidays can be felt in every store you visit. It’s really a special time of year, and these are just a couple items that I wanted to share with you.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
